Great article, just use the correct pronoun.
A group of 200 doctors (plural) are.
A doctor (singular) is.
It makes a difference to those of us who care about proper English, even on the internet.

The subject in the sentence is "group," not "doctors."
"A group ... is.." is the correct construction. "Group" is singular. "2000 doctors" merely modifies the singular subject.
