May Day may be over, but summer's nearly here and there is still plenty of music and fun ahead. The National Gathering Working Group and members of InterOccupy will be organizing the "Occupy National Gathering," featuring music and performances on July 4 in Philadelphia.
"This movement will always live primarily at the local level," the Occupy National Gathering Proposal reads, "but every great movement should have the chance to gather en masse as a demonstration of solidarity and strength."
The proposal has been submitted to every General Assembly in the country, and many have already ratified it.
"We will also prove, through the entire process leading up to July 4, that our movement is capable of coordinating mass action and collaborating on a broad scale, while still holding fast to our principles," the proposal also read.
