Stunning Video Of NATO Summit Protests

Stunning Video Of NATO Summit Protests
Fri, 5/25/2012

Local filmmaker Mike Eisenberg wanted to capture the tensions on the streets as an unbiased observer. The result is "NATO protests - Chicago 2012."

Eisenberg told Chicagoist he made this video with a DSLR camera and a variety of lessons during marathon filming sessions all weekend. "I filmed 6 hours on Friday, 8 hours on Saturday, 12 hours on Sunday, (with a 16-inch softball doubleheader in between)," he said. Eisenberg edited the video each night as he went along.

"I'm really not on either side of this battle, but I wanted to capture the imagery of the event," Eisenberg said. He added that he wasn't around when anyone was seriously injured, but "I can say that it felt a lot more dangerous than it seems even in this video."
