This week on Act Out!, the reports from the first wave of Trump’s ICE Raids are full of disturbing stories of jackbooted thugs oppressing the oppressed – and literally tearing families apart in the name of a fascist, xenophobic and factually inaccurate agenda.

Trump's long-promised mass deportations have begun, ramping up from the Obama administration’s already disgusting record of nearly 3 million deportations. As more and more people find themselves in the crosshairs of fascism, it is clear that those of us lower on that checklist – because we are all on it – have an obligation to stand up and demand our communities and cities be safe havens for all: sanctuary cities. It is time to be ready to put our bodies on the front lines for freedom, justice and human rights. With that in mind, here’s the lowdown on who is being deported, why and what you can do to ensure that your community gives sanctuary to all.

Next up, the call to impeach Trump is gaining a lot of steam as angered citizens look for a way to get rid of the orange neofascist. But what would impeaching Trump really mean? Would we wake up the next morning to a glistening Utopia where people and planet are revered over profit? No. First off, we’d have President Pence in power and that does not a Utopia make. And if that makes you shudder, here’s a list of 17 more reasons why impeaching Trump is a bad idea. The presidential succession line gets a spotlight and we cover what we should focus our energies on instead of impeaching one (or several) of the figureheads of the system.

President-elect Donald Trump isn’t just appointing incompetent buffoons to his Cabinet, but deeply immoral individuals who are completely lacking in family values.

Biden cared more about the appearance of having an independent DOJ untainted by politics than he did about holding an unrepentant criminal ex-president accountable.

The American people clearly spoke, and the drubbing Democrats received requires looking beyond just issue polls, voting patterns, campaign strategy, or get-out-the-vote tactics.

The recent decisions by two of the most influential national newspapers of record to not publish their endorsements of Vice President Kamala Harris says a lot about how seriously they take Trump’s threats to democracy and his promises of vengeance against his enemies.

If the Democrats’ theme of 2017 was Resistance, the theme for Democrats in 2025 needs to instead be Opposition — and these two GOP senators may be the models to emulate.

The country has never moved as close to the course it took under Benito Mussolini as it is doing now — and even if Meloni is not a neo-fascist politician, she has put herself in a position to appeal to and broaden fascism's political base.

On the eve of the historic November vote, it seems important to ask: What's wrong with men, how did we get here, and can we change this?

As Trump’s campaign grows increasingly bizarre, his team appears to be more tightly controlling his movements and carefully scripting his public appearances to minimize the negative impact his erratic behavior may have on undecided voters in swing states.
