Thu, 1/26/2017 - by Matthew Segal
This article originally appeared on ATTN:

"Everything I see from Donald Trump makes me worry about the future." Robert Reich is Chancellor's Professor of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley, and served as Secretary of Labor in the Clinton administration, for which Time Magazine named him one of the ten most effective cabinet secretaries of the twentieth century.

As part of ATTN:'s new series, Paying Attention, Reich and ATTN:'s editor-in-chief Matthew Segal sit down to discuss income inequality, labor unions and the federal minimum wage, as well as Donald Trump's picks for his new cabinet.

Any concept of "the common good" has been rooted out of our culture. Bill Clinton successfully pitted middle class against poor, while the focus of the past decade has been on pitting the poor against each other by race.
