"...take to the streets for justice and equality."

That sounds interesting, but I'm not sure if "justice and equality" can exist if it applies only to specific segments of the population and/or if a long list of caveats. When basic humanitarian aid is not an entitlement (by definition) in a modern, wealthy nation, it's a denial of justice and equality for the very poor. How would this concept apply to those who can't work, and those for whom there are no jobs? How does this apply to the masses who fall through all the truck-sized gaps in whatever remains of the "safety net"? In the US, our chosen social policies directly violate the UN's UDHR, with the approval of the middle class, indicating that Americans have a particularly flimsy grasp of those concepts.

In short, I think people need to clarify what it is that they're protesting, and that they want.

Throughout history, fascist governments have had a similar reliance on the use of lies as a weapon to take and retain power.
